Blue Dreams DowntownPG. Mature Theme
USA-3:00 Silent B&W, Raiya Corsiglia – Director) A Coney Island man falls in love with a magical photograph that loves him right back.

Blue Dreams Downtown is an interesting idea, and although it’s only three minutes long, I found it to be strangely romantic and touching. The film begins with a man living in Coney Island staring at a photograph. When it shows the photograph, there’s a lady in it, moving. She appears to be reaching for him, and he appears to be reaching for her. He spends all of his time gazing into this portrait, falling asleep next to it, and waking up next to it.

I thought this was a beautiful story. Two people in love not being able to reach each other. The music was enormously moving, and really set the mood. Despite the length of this film, I found it to be very effective.

Hello A ‘n' E Vibers!  This is the first blog entry of a series to come that will lead up to L'Oreal Fashion Week here in Toronto in October.  I hope that you all will log in regularly, as I will be updating as often as I can with my thoughts and reviews on anything to do with fashion.

So the 2008 Beijing Olympics have begun, and besides the sports and competition, who isn't paying attention to what the athletes are wearing to represent their nation?  The Opening Ceremony on Friday was the perfect venue for each country to show off their national pride in their clothing, and although I wasn't able to watch the live broadcast on television, I did some research and came up with these photos of what the Canadian Olympians wore..
