Title: Beer Does the Body Good Director: Vern Wutzke
Date saw the show: August 15 2007 2 ˝ stars Beer Does the Body Good – PG. Mature Theme (Alberta-3:00 Comedy, Vern Wutzke – Director) At the local waterin’ hole, a fella decides to drink healthy with catastrophic results. Beer Does the Body Good was semi entertaining, but I think would have been better enjoyed by men. It was definitely a man’s movie, but I give it credit for making me laugh a few times. At a watering hole, surrounded by beer drinking men, a man decides to drink milk rather than beer. Everyone stares at him, in shock. When he drinks milk, claiming that he’s in a “healthy mood” he begins to rot as if being incredibly unhealthy. Everyone mocks him claiming they told him so; definitely a man’s film. Although I laughed every once in a while, I found that the men in the audience found it FAR funnier than I did. I don’t feel how I can judge this film, as I’m aware that it was not intended for me, but for men. To me, I thought it was so-so. |

Nelson Mandela turns 90!
Hyde Park in
London (England) was host to the 46664 AIDS/HIV charity event to both celebrate
the heroes birthday, and promote awareness of his charity named after the
number he was gave for his 27 year socially unjust prison sentence on Robin
Island (South Africa). July 18th welcomed the `big stars`from Will Smith (who
hosted), to attendees Oprah, and Uma (Thurman) the event had `Birthday
Bash`wrote all over it. The performers list was endless, such as Annie Lennox,
and Josh Groban who both gave delightful tributes to Mandela`s legacy.
