REVIEW 5 Stars Reviewed By: Beverley Ann Clairvoyant Medium (Ontario Correspondent - Canada) Louise Hay has made a life out of healing people...on their own steam. She has lead the way since the 1980s on how you can heal your own life. At the forefront of the self-help field, Hay has become a Matriarchal figure to many now in the business of self-help. In the 1980s Louise Hay self-published You Can Heal Your Life, a book that has sold over 30 million copies to date, and spurred her on to build her own publishing company ‘Hay House.' Taking the philosophy one step further, Louise Hay has stepped along with the information age and put the theories behind her book into a complimenting DVD with the same name. I think the book and the DVD would probably work best hand in hand; the book for reference once it is read, and the DVD as a frequent reminder when watched of the powerful resources we hold in our own hands. Louise Hay has gathered some of the best self-help teachers, most who have seen Hay as a guiding light in their own lives, to explain the thoughts behind You Can Heal Your Life. Very similar in format to The Secret, this DVD is easily digestible information that is both empowering and constructive. Author of The Erroneous Zones Dr Wayne Dyer, The Angel Lady Doreen Virtue, Life Makeover teacher Cheryl Richardson, Dream Interpreter Leon Nacson, medical authority and author of Women's Wisdom Women's Bodies Dr. Christiane Northrup, and medical intuitive Mona Lisa Schulz, along with a handful of other spiritual intellectuals, all give their perceptions on the philosophy that our "thoughts and our actions can equal miracles" as Richardson states. Essentially, the actual video is inspiring and informative, but it is really worth getting the expanded version to delve into in-depth interviews from each of the interviewees. You get an almost one on one personal conversation with these people who have manifested their good lives into being. The DVD also has an interactive affirmations section. Perhaps the greatest aspect of You Can Heal Your Life, is the DVD truly showcases the greatness of human potential that can be manifested into actuality, how our health concerns are a part of our inner emotional psyche, and how our greatest hope can be found within ourselves. You Can Heal Your Life is a fabulous DVD that will help so many people focus their energies towards successful endeavours in all aspects of life. The DVD will also expose viewers to a sampling of fantastic self-help teachers, so that if you become inspired by what two or three have to say, you can then learn towards further direct research for direction in your own life path. You Can Heal Your Life is an ideal DVD to watch for anyone who wants to improve themselves and change their lives! I'd recommend you buy two copies at a time, one for yourself, and one for a friend. |

Made In Where?
By: Kindah Mardam Bey (Ontario Correspondent - Canada) Recently, the question of where exactly my clothing is made has come to my attention. That little equal sign symbol on the back of Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin's hand represents Fair Trade. Which ultimately means that wealthier countries do not bleed third world countries for cheap labour. Seriously, it's a big problem, and while my brief encounter with awareness hit me in the early 1990s with Nike, and then with the outrageous brush with humiliation Kathy Lee Gifford was subjected to (wasn't everyone else doing the same as KLG?), I had little experience with the subject matter. Then the idea of Fair Trade slid slowly into my psyche, and when your High School school-bag toting cousin is more savvy on the subject then you, it's time to strip off and read the damn labels...Read More |
