The National Film Board Of Canada, with it breadth and depth of filmmaking legacy took the 2008 Hot Docs festival by storm this year in Toronto. Hot Docs is a Canadian film festival focused on the film-form of documentaries, with an international appeal. The Documentaries weren't only hot from the NFB offerings this year, but they were also diverse in subject matter, strong in content and a two time winner for Junior (Best Canadian Feature Documentary) and FLicKeR (Special Jury Prize Canadian Documentary). 

A ‘n E Vibe was pleased to see all the NFB films sent to Hot Docs this year, as many were world premieres expressing a deep reflection on current world concerns. Documentaries don't usually have widespread theatre releases, so it is up to each individual to seek out these dynamic and interesting films that hold a magnifying glass up to the world in which we live:
