Coldplay announced on the band website that they will headline the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan....
By: Kindah Mardam Bey March, 2008
One of the most anticipated albums expected to be downloaded this year will be Coldplay's newest. The lads are taking their time in re-recording and mixing to make sure that when the release date arrives (TBA) then it will be worth the wait. Bless ‘em.
Other acts to perform at the Summer Sonic Festival will include Alicia Keys, Sex Pistols, Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy, Bedouin Soundclash, Junkie XL, The Metros & The Verve (didn't we all love Bitter Sweet Symphony!).
Coldplay will also headline, along with Jay-Z at the first ever Pemberton Music Festival in British Columbia, Canada at the end of July. |

Nelson Mandela turns 90!
Hyde Park in
London (England) was host to the 46664 AIDS/HIV charity event to both celebrate
the heroes birthday, and promote awareness of his charity named after the
number he was gave for his 27 year socially unjust prison sentence on Robin
Island (South Africa). July 18th welcomed the `big stars`from Will Smith (who
hosted), to attendees Oprah, and Uma (Thurman) the event had `Birthday
Bash`wrote all over it. The performers list was endless, such as Annie Lennox,
and Josh Groban who both gave delightful tributes to Mandela`s legacy.
