IllScarlett
Interview with:John Doherty (Bass) and Will Marr (guitar) illScarlett is a little bit punk and a little bit reggae, but 100% a good time. Based out of Mississauga, Ontario, this quartet released their first major label record titled "All Day With It" in the summer of 2007. This album produced the hit song "Nothing Special" and illScarlett found success in the Canadian music industry. They went on tour to satisfy the hungry appetites of fans and their success led to their Juno nomination for "Best New Group". And this nomination brought them to Calgary where they attended the Juno Fanfare and were lovely enough to give AnEVibe the following interview....
AnEVibe (Amanda Waschuk): Where does your inspiration come from?
Amanda Waschuk: What artists?
Amanda Waschuk: Do you think this
could change careers, like how it does when people win Oscars?
Amanda Waschuk: Who are you guys
excited to see win?
Amanda Waschuk: What changes would you like to see in the world for the
betterment of the future?
Amanda Waschuk: Is there a difference between the American and Canadian
music scene? |

Nelson Mandela turns 90!
Hyde Park in
London (England) was host to the 46664 AIDS/HIV charity event to both celebrate
the heroes birthday, and promote awareness of his charity named after the
number he was gave for his 27 year socially unjust prison sentence on Robin
Island (South Africa). July 18th welcomed the `big stars`from Will Smith (who
hosted), to attendees Oprah, and Uma (Thurman) the event had `Birthday
Bash`wrote all over it. The performers list was endless, such as Annie Lennox,
and Josh Groban who both gave delightful tributes to Mandela`s legacy.
