Charlie (Elan Wolf Farbiaz) is an everyday guy who realizes that ten years have passed of his life and have been a waste of time where he was walked all over by his boss, his friends and his girlfriend. This illuminating moment of self-examination comes to him as he watches a Kevin Spacey film, and realizes he has been leading his life the many weak characters that Spacey has played.

Deciding to take charge and change his downtrodden ways, he asserts himself. In the process, Charlie morphs into a mixed bag of Al Pacino characters complete with a gold chain and a tuft of chest hair. The real laughs come from Joshua Levine, who plays all the characters that Charlie interacts with, from his overbearing boss, cheating girlfriend, dirt bag drinking buddy and his love interest.

The characters are a tad predictable and the whole concept for the play, is slightly reminiscent of the concept from the film Being John Malkovich. Maybe this homage to everyday people infiltrating the minds' of critically acclaimed actors was intended, but it takes away from the play's ability to be a unique comedy production.

Killing Kevin Spacey is worth seeing if you are a movie buff and want to test your knowledge, as snippets of dialogue from various films are referenced, and if you are concerned that maybe you too, are becoming a real life compilation of movie characters.
