Daring, witty and flat-out funny, Broad Comedy serves up sixty minutes of energetic sketch comedy and musical satire that will have you laughing, blushing and begging for more. These four fabulously talented broads from Bozeman (Montana) sing, dance and rap about the trials and tribulations of being a modern day woman. Boys, don’t be afraid—you may be slightly outnumbered in the audience (which isn’t such a bad thing, is it?), but this is definitely a show that everyone can enjoy—as long as you possess a sense of humour.

The women of Broad Comedy don’t skirt sensitive subjects, addressing everything from sex and politics to religion and motherhood. Whether they’re busting rhymes as the “Soccer Mom Ho’s” or extolling the virtues of teen abstinence in “I’m Saving My Hymen For Jesus”, these sassy broads are smart, edgy and bold.

With their flawless timing and fearless writing it’s evident as to why Broad Comedy won Pick of the Vancouver Fringe in 2005. If you’re looking for a laugh, be sure to head down to Performance Works before they return south. Seating is comedy-club style—small round tables all on one level—so get there early to ensure a good view.
